DDR4 Memory Type made its debut in August 2014, in this period  was approximately 30% more expensive DDR3 memory with the same frequency.  A little more than a year was required to ensure that variation in prices leveled off, and now, according to 3DCenter site, DDR4 modules are cheaper.  This is especially noticeable for modules with very high efficiency rate.  price ratio shown in the table below:

Soon DDR4 memory will become the main standard for personal computers. Â This means that DDR3 module production volume will be reduced and they will be purchased mainly for upgrading older computers. Â Thus, Â DDR3 memory in the foreseeable future could be even more expensive, while the DDR4 will continue to become cheaper against the background of growing production volumes and introduction of new technologies.
