Today we checked the beta version firefox 3 , currently this browser reached it is third beta version  (Fire Fox 3 Beta 3). In this news we will check the different optimization added in Firefox 3 from the memory and cpu usage side. For those using Firefox in their daily surf , already noted the large memory usage of this browser when surfing with many page and the high cpu usage . FireFox 2.0.0.12 FireFox 3 Beta 3 How we tested : We used process timer to measure the cpu time and windows task manager for memory and peak memory usage . We started with blank page , then 10 simple page (Pure HTML no images no javascript .....) , then we used Our site (xtreview.com) as complex page since there is flash animation javascript and images ... The  system Used was : Intel Core 2 extreme x6800 @ default Asus P5k -Deluxe 2 Ocz Gig DDR 2 800 Mhz (4-4-4-12 1.8 V) . 2 HDD 500 Gig Raid 0 Geforce 8800 Ultra FireFox FireFox 2.0.0.12 vs FireFox 3 Beta 3 Blank page FireFox FireFox 2.0.0.12 vs FireFox 3 Beta 3 (10) simple page FireFox FireFox 2.0.0.12 vs FireFox 3 Beta 3 (10) complex page (20) complex page (40) complex page Comparison chart memory: Well it became clear from the above chart that new fire fox 3 use less memory than firefox 2 .In addition with more page added firefox 3 became more memory efficient . what about 300tab or more tab ? exp. 300 yahoo tab -cpu,mem,virtual memory,working set parameters 300 yahoo tab after 2-3 hour, maybe day? -cpu,mem,virtual memory,working set parameters process explorer can show working set virtual memory etc. if u try firefox open 200-300 tab, u can see easily when the virtual size (memory) over 2gig firefox be unstable .. sometimes 40 flashpage enough for that 2 gig virtual size.. so, thanks this review, most people dont know how is the be test, acid sh*t is not important.. again thanks this REAL test.. http://img162.imageshack.us/img162/7884/2k3de0.jpg whis is my little ultra review! w2k3-R2x64 4gig 2.7ghz dual etc etc. (Not new, but its real). x64minefield (formerly firefox64) it handled all link in my blog more than thousand.. 32bit firefox can not when 2gig vs. then crash.. have good day..
