According to Golem.de site, the Korean company SK Hynix will start producing HBM2 memory chips with 4 GB volume this quarter on a stack having four core layout and the operating voltage of 1.2 V at frequencies of 1.6 GHz and 2.0 GHz. Accordingly, the capacity of the memory up to 204 GB / s and 256 Gb / s in the presence of a 1024-bit bus.
Formally, four such chips can make 16 GB of HBM2 memory type. In the fourth quarter, SK Hynix mastered mass production of chips HBM2 capacity 8 GB . Four of these chips will be enough to score 32 GB.
