Saturday, we have the opportunity to see the new graphic solutions of AMD company, which will be used as computational accelerators. One of them - Radeon Pro SSG with the possibility of up to 1 TB of solid-state memory, operating in RAID 0. The array accelerator is based on GPU AMD Fiji with 4 GB of memory type HBM.
The new accelerator computing and professional graphics solution, in combination, will receive the symbol Dracarys. For the first time it will be shown to the public at the industry event next month, it is based on the graphics processor Vega 10 with 16 GB of memory type HBM2. The ability to install SSD directly on the card - their volume will increase over the limit 1 TB. It is argued that in calculating the half-precision (FP16) new product demonstrates performance of over 20 teraflops. This is more than two times higher than in the case of the Radeon Pro SSG on the base of Fiji.
Like the Radeon Pro SSG, Dracarys accelerator will be offered first months to the developers at the price of $ 10 000 for a fee. However, increasing the volume of issuance price will inevitably drop. Mass production of new items will be deployed in the second half of next year. Vega 10 graphics processor will be released on 14 nm technology.
