Swedish company Tobii has introduced the second generation of proprietary controllers to track the user's eyes - tracker Tobii Eye Tracker 4C. The device is designed to complement the traditional game controllers such as the mouse and keyboard input, allowing to control the game with the help of eye and head movements.
The new controller carries USB 2.0 cable is not removable. All data transmitted through a single port. The function of the data processing from the scanner largely assumes a special device chip (ASIC). Previously, this involved a central computer / laptop processor, so that the new product will free the processor from the problems of processing "raw" data from the scanner. According to the company, currently tracker Tobii EyeX (and Tobii Eye Tracker 4C) is supported in 40 games and more. By the end of next year will support the tracker over 100 games.
