Number of news related to AMD company and its future products remains consistently high. Yesterday, for example, it became known that the processors AMD Ryzen with six physical cores and twelve processing threads will be released. Now our Western colleagues have published some characteristics of the data processors and the frequency characteristics of the three upcoming 8-core processors with 16 threads.
It is reported that the manufacturer will in each of the conventional modules CCX (CPU Complex) disable one physical core with its designated cache memory in the second level. This third-level cache is not affected.
The point is that for the normal operation of the processor, both its "complex" shall have the same number of cores and the same configuration cache. It may be activated or all L3 memory (8 MB per module) or half (4 MB), or it can be disabled altogether. That is, 6-core AMD Ryzen each CCX must have three cores, and 4 or, more likely, 8MB of L3 cache.
Our colleagues confirmed code names (and at the same time frequency characteristics) of three engineering samples F4 latest revision. Thus, the engineering model of processor AMD Ryzen codenamed ZD3301BBM 6 I F4 _ 37/33 _Y has 6 cores that operate at a frequency of 3.3 - 3.7 GHz. Next there is a processor ZD3406BAM August 8 F4 _ 38/34 _Y with eight cores and a frequency of 3.4 - 3.8 GHz. Finally, an engineering sample ZD3601BAM 8 8 F4 _ 40/36 _Y also has eight cores that operate at frequencies
3.6 - 4.0 GHz. Related Products :
