Asetek company declared about new hybrid, liquid-air cooling system for new graphic accelerators NVIDIA geForce 9800GTX and GeForce 9800GX2.
The increase in energy consumption and GPU heat emission , connected with performance increase , imposes increased requirements on cooling systems. In turn, the increase in cooling efficiency increase the overclocking potential and also the noise level . Here come the liquid cooling system as effective and quiet.

Asetek used the hybrid technology: GPU is cooled with the aid of water-block, connected to liquid cooling system, memory and power system are cooled with the aid of forced air exchange.

According to the company evaluation , this ensures high productivity of cooling system : GPU temperature is lowered by 25°C in comparison with default cooling.

Asetek asserted, that this cooling system does not exceed 22 dB. For comparison typical air cooling system has 50 dB .
