The test program for "robots" Uber continues to pursue failure. At first, the company had to leave California for some time because of disagreements with local authorities about the information policy regarding possible incidents involving prototypes. Then a scandal broke out with the litigation claims of Waymo, the new subsidiary of Alphabet / Google, which blamed Uber for borrowing the "autopilot" technology. Finally, after a recent incident in Arizona, as Reuters notes,
the company was forced to suspend its prototype tests on public roads in Pittsburgh, San Francisco and Arizona.
Te prototype Volvo XC90, which carried out a test trip in one of the cities of Arizona, collided with another man-driven movement participant. As a result of the collision, the latter turned over on its side. In the cabin of the Volvo XC90 there were only two testers, on the rear couch there were no passengers. It is not yet specified whether the automatic control mode was activated at the time of the collision. It should be noted that the nature of damage and changes in the position
of the vehicle in space suggest that a decent speed at which the collision occurred. Prototypes of Waymo, which regularly fall into accidents, usually collide with other participants at low speeds while crossing the intersections. Related Products :
