Last year, the Chinese company Huawei introduced a laptop-transformer MateBook, running Windows 10. And now it is working on the creation of its successor, which will be released in three versions.
According to bloggers, this year Huawei will release three 2-in-1 laptops: the MateBook X, the MateBook E and the MateBook D. They have the code names "Pascal", "Bell" and "Watt". One of the new notebooks (the so-called MateBook X), code-named "Pascal" is equipped with an Intel Core i5 processor, 8 GB of RAM and a 15-inch display. It runs under the 64-bit version of Windows 10. MateBook D, also "Watt", will receive a 12.5-inch display. And
MateBook E, developed under the code name "Bell", will be an updated version of the first generation of Huawei Mate Book. It will be based on the Intel Core M processor (Cherry Trail) with 4 GB of RAM.
By the way, Huawei is the third largest smartphone manufacturer in the world, behind only Samsung and Apple. Last year, Huawei sold 140 million smartphones around the world, including in the US.
Despite the fact that Huawei's revenues grew by 32% last year, operating profit increased by only 0.4% year-on-year. And the margin fell by 3 percentage points to 9%. Huawei will have to make great efforts to increase sales of its smartphones around the world, especially if the company wants to achieve the goal and become by 2021 the leader of the smartphone market.
