POSTER:c || A SIMPLE NVIDIA GTX 1080 TI FOUNDERS EDITION VOLTMODE FOR BETTER OVERCLOCKING
DATE:2017-05-16
Specialist in overclocking computer systems under the Der8auer nickname on his YouTube channel shared a video instruction on how to modify the power supply system of the NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition video card to achieve better graphics overclocking. This modification is available to everyone.
The video card NVIDIA GTX 1080 Ti Founders Edition is powered by 6-pin and 8-pin PCIe connectors and from the PCIe slot on the motherboard. The nominal consumption of the adapter reaches 250 watts. For overclocking with the utility MSI Afterburner you can increase the power (consumption) of the video card up to 120% or up to 300 W. However, while running in the benchmark Unigine Superposition shows the instability of the adapter, but further increase in power by regular means is impossible.
Note, in the regular mode, the system consumes 396 watts, and when overclocked by MSI Afterburner, its consumption rises to 445 watts.
