Intel processors Skylake-X family, although not yet offered in retail, among the enthusiasts close to the motherboard manufacturers have received sufficient distribution in the form of engineering samples. Models with the number of cores more than ten pieces are not provided yet, and from the point of view of pursuit of frequencies to enthusiasts it is more favorable to experiment with Core i7-7800X, which has six cores.
That Swedish overclocker Elmor , who works at the headquarters of Asus in Taiwan, used the official position to comprehend the new limits of the capabilities of the processor Core i7-7800X. If earlier we saw this processor with a frequency of 6.0 GHz without computational load, now at a comparable frequency it is able to pass the Cinebench R15 test with a score of 2005 points.
In other disciplines the frequency of the processor to the turn of 6.0 GHz did not last, but in these conditions the Swedish enthusiast was able to update a number of records among the processors with six cores.
Some uncertainty about the method of cooling the processor is due to the fact that the use of liquid helium is attributed to a number of experiments, and the highest result at 6010 MHz was obtained using liquid nitrogen. Apparently, the author simply did not have time to change the annotation after his experiments with the overclocking of Kaby Lake-X under liquid helium, and Skylake-X actually was overclocked using liquid nitrogen. In the latter case, it is not possible to reach lower temperatures
in comparison with liquid helium, but to work with liquid nitrogen is not only technically easier, but also much cheaper. Related Products :
