Yesterday asus company reported in official press release, about the announcement of notebook Asus eee PC 900. As it was planned, instead of previous 8 inch screen ( with 800 X 480 resolution )  the new notebook obtained 8.9 inch screen and resolution 1024 X 600. As additional improvements we can note the new 1.3-mega pixel Web- camera instead of 0.3. The size of thouchpad was increased from 45 X 30 mm to 64 X 37 mm, now it supports finger-Glide technology . asus eee PC 900 asus eee PC 701 The processor celeron M ULV remained as before, but its frequency was increased from 630 MHz to 900 MHz. The integrated chipset series i915G support directX 9.0  (Shader model 2.0) . Memory volume grew from 512 MB to 1 Gb, but the frequency was reduced from DDR 2-533 to DDR 2-400. The solid-state disk volume was increased from 4-8 Gb to 12 Gb for Windows XP model  , and to 20 Gb for linux operating system  . Battery was also improved from 5200 to 5800 . Asus eee PC 900 is capable to work in the offline regime for approximately three hours.  The overall sizes were barely changed (225 X 170 X 20-33,8 mm), but here the weight increased from 920 to 990 grm. Eee PC 900 has three ports USB, one D -Sub (VGA), network interface 10/100 Mbit/s, microphone and head sets connector, and  memory card reader SSD/MMC. For wireless network connection the adapter wiFi (802.11b/g) was used . As promised asus representatives , eee PC will use Intel atom processors  and models with classical HDD . Related Products :
