The director of samsung subdivision ( computer systems division ) report that the current version samsung Q1, Ultra , is the ultra-mobile PC (UMPC) second generation,.
Last year samsung sold 100 thousand units Q1 and Q1 Ultra in Great Britain, Italy, USA and China, which indicates the low popularity of samsung UMPC solutions . For example, the product ASUS (Eee PC) proved to be more popular (sale composed 1,4 mln units in 1 sq. 2008). However, for its price category ($800-$1700) this is relatively a good sale indices . Samsung plans to update both design and Q1 construction , which will allow to raise the productivity of futures Q1 and buyer interest . The third generation of ultra-mobile PC according to Samsung will appear already in the first quarter of 2009. Accordingly, we can see a prototype on January exhibition CES. | ||
