Nehalem generation processors ( LGA 1160 ) were studied in the past year. The corresponding models lynnfield (four core) and Havendale (two core) will appear not earlier than the third quarter of the following year. With the reference to new intel roadmap , the first motherboards with LGA 1160 will actually appear only in a year. They will support the four core processors lynnfield and the dual core processors havendale. In contrast to Bloomfield, lynnfield processors will support only dual-channel memory DDR-3, and they will also acquire the built-in PCI express controller. The latter will ensure support to one channel PCI express x16, which corresponds to the PCI express 2.0 specifications , or two channels PCI express x8. Lynnfield and Havendale processors will be deprived from QPI quickPath support , which Bloomfield uses for communication with the north bridge and between the processors cores. LGA 1160 processors will communicate with chipset ibex peak through the old interface DMI. ( capacity (2 GB/s) ) and this will be completely sufficient for work . Basic north bridge components will be included directly in the processor. Related Products :
