AMD repeatedly noted, that R700 video cards will use a special interface crossFire sideport for the more effective exchange of data between the two video chips. According to some forecasts, this update together with the chip- switchboard, which supports PCI express 2.0, had to free the Radeon HD 4870 X2 from the serious deficiency of all multi-chip solutions as delays in the regime AFR. They decrease the smoothness of scene reproduction. As reports sampsa overclocker forum XtremeSystems.org, the first special tests in the regime AFR proved that Radeon HD 4870 X2 reproduces games much more smoothly than Radeon HD 3870 X2 and GeForce 9800 GX2. Details and results are published here. Note that two single video card radeon HD 4870 comes out sufficiently effective in the regime AFR. As a whole, the presence of micro-delays effect depends on the optimization of game engine . In any case Now radeon cards handle better AFR than dual chips solution from NVIDIS. |
