Last information about swift CPU reported that those processors will have two cores with individual cache in the second level, dual-channel memory controller with DDR-3 support , graphic core and PCI express controller, and south bridge can prove to be on one base layer with the processor.
It was considered that the graphic and processor core will be located on one crystal, and released on 45 NM technology in Dresden AMD factories .
Yesterday associate reported new data about the fusion processors , which somewhat contradict the information above. For example, associate reports that AMD representatives study the possibility of fusion processors release by TSMC. Two processor core ( phenom class ) will be coupled with the graphic core RV8xx. If we considers that 40 NM chip RV870 will appear in the first quarter 2009, the possibility of its use in fusion processors is completely probable.
Fusion processors (first generation) : Code name shrike will be released on 40 NM technology. At the beginning of 2010 fusion processors promise to pass on 32 NM technology without essential architectural changes and then the new architecture ( bulldozer ) will appear within the same 32 NM technical process.
Processors with bulldozer core generation will obtain the designation code falcon. They will be also released by TSMC on 32 NM technology with SOI.
