Chinese engineers and scientists already dealt with loongson processors improvement. The first Chinese processors was presented in 2001, and with each new generation the performance was tripled . Loongson processors currently serve as basis for servers and personal computers, which exploit software with open code and Linux operating system .
As reports assocatie, up to 2010 Chinese developers promise to present the processor Godson- 3, which will exist in the versions with four and 8 core. In the first case the energy consumption level will be limited to 10 W, in the second - 20 W. The processors architecture allow to effectively increase the quantity of core, and the energy-economy technologies used allow to hold the energy consumption in the reasonable limits.

Let us recall that this Chinese processors is not x86- compatible. For x86- architecture emulation the developers added 200 additional instructions. According to the Intel estimations , this will allow the Chinese processors to demonstrate speed at the 80% level (in comparison with similar in characteristic processor ) . Chinese processors if necessary can use Windows operating system .

ST microelectronics company will release both processor versions Godson- 3 on 65 nm technology in China .
