Analysts and memory producers reported that the the demand for memory will grow and in the same time price will grow.
However, this did not occur. According to DRAMeXchange data the price of 1- Gbit chip will fell by 7% : now it is only $1,51. This is a new record for the memory price . The previous minimum prices was observed during November last year, when 1- Gbit chip cost $1,57. Players on memory market reported that a drop in the contract prices of DRAM- memory in the second-half of August is directly connected with the low demand of OEM- producers and PC builders . Prices Reduction during July entailed a drop in the contract prices, producers were forced to search for ways in order to rescue their production in the passage to the new standards and technical processes. DRAMeXchange specialists note that the passage to 50- nm standards, can bring a rapid saturation of this market segment . | ||
