The appearance of LED backlight with a variable RGB-spectrum pushed manufacturers of components to some consolidation. It is enough to teach components with RGB-backlighting to "understand" each other and control software. Colleagues from the site AKIBA PC Hotline reported on the appearance in the Japanese retail of new SLI-bridges Asus for motherboards and video cards equipped with proprietary RGB-illumination Aura.
The bridges are offered in two versions, providing for the separation of two graphics cards into four and three expansion slots, respectively. The accessories are compatible with video cards from GeForce GTX 1070 to NVIDIA Titan Xp, implying the use of an interface with increased bandwidth.
The color of the backlight is controlled both from the BIOS of the motherboard, and with the help of a special application - in this case the bridge needs to be connected to the motherboard using a cable. If this is not done, the color will change cyclically in automatic mode, and the user will be able to "freeze" the liked shade by touching the Asus ROG logo on the bridge casing. Related Products :
