As reports associate with the reference to some sources among western investors, TSMC companies was possible to agree with AMD about the production of 40 nm processors. The mass production of such AMD processors will be neglected by TSMC company at the end of the second quarter 2009,.
TSMC representatives reported that obtaining orders on processors production is the old company purpose . Obviously, some time ago TSMC could not release central processors due to the absence of necessary technologies and equipment, but this deficiency was removed. TSMC can study the production of 40 nm technology for hybrid processors fusion with the built-in graphic core. In any case, it is difficult to believe, that AMD decided to master the 40 nm technology for the central processors within the so compressed periods.
