Associates already noted that AMD plans to update its processor models notation after passage to the new  45 nm process. It is assumed that instead of the four number , AMD will use five-digit.   Thus, the first 45 nm deneb processors socket AM2+ will be actually presented nearer than the to the end of present year. If we speak precisely, only two models in such design concept will be released to the end of the second quarter 2009, since later AMD will update them with socket AM3 processor. Let us recall that 45 nm processors socket AM2+ will be compatible only with the motherboard , which support two-way power - in some old motherboards such processor cannot work . The Names and characteristics of 45 nm processors socket AM2+ are : Phenom X4 20550 - > four core, 3.0 GHz frequency, 4 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, TDP=125 W; Phenom X4 20350 - > four core, 2.8 GHz frequency, 4 X 512 KB cache in the second level, 6 mb cache in the third level, TDP=125 W. These processors will support only DDR 2-1066 or slower memory , and DDR- 3 support will be only for socket AM3 processors. In the beginning of January 2009 , AMD will present four models 45 nm processors socket AM3, whose frequency range will be from 2.4 to 2.8 GHz, but TDP value will not exceed 95 W. Besides two deneb processors with the cache in the third level , AMD will present two processors propus without cache in the third level. The first will obtain the designations form phenom X4 20x00, the second - Phenom X4 16x00.   In the second quarter will appear the faster deneb models socket AM3, its elder version will operate at 3.0 GHz frequency  and possess a TDP value not more than 125 W. The three core processors  heka and Rana will appear in the second quarter  2009 : phenom X3 14x00 and Phenom X3 12x00 . Related Products :
