Toshiba (Japanese company) is ready to release high perfomrance memory microcircuits according to the 45 and 40 nm standards. The modification of technical process, intended for the microcircuits release  , optimized for lower energy consumption, will be finished in the middle of 2009. The first customer of high perfomance technical process is Sony, It was assumed that Sony will order from Toshiba  the 45- nm version of graphic processor for PlayStation 3. Now this product is produced by toshiba according to the 65 nm standards. At the disposal Of toshiba there are two basic factories, located in Japan, which make logical chips on 300- mm base layers. One of them was acquired by Sony in the past year for 835 million dollars. Now factory belongs to the joint enterprise, in which the toshiba portion composes 60%.   Related Products :
