Today we took four beautiful cooler from Thermaltake and Zalman in order to check their efficiency . All tests were executed in the operating system Windows vista ultimate edition x86 SP1. For monitoring the processor and chipset temperature we used the utility speedFan version 4.36 beta 15. Let us pass directly to the obtained results : First let us say a few words about zalman CNPS8700 NT and Thermaltake V1 AX : the effectiveness of cooler practically does not depend on the fan rotation speed , increase in the fan rotation from ~1390 to ~2080 rp/min reduced the processor temperature by 1 degree Celsius under Linpack and to 1~2 under Unreal tournament 3. The leaders of today's testing is zEROtherm ZEN FZ120. Difference is small with other cooler (3 degree ++), but it is reached with smaller cost and lower noise level  . It is clear that all tested today cooler are not quiet. Thermaltake V1 AX and MaxOrb/maxOrb EX with the minimum fan rotation , in the idle regime, function with the moderate noise level  . In this case  ZEROtherm ZEN FZ120 occurs to be the quietest cooler checked today. Related Products :
