Today HP published the technical characteristics and prices Of mini 1000. This notebook can be equipped with 8.9 or 10.2 inches screen. The 10.2 inches version is $50 more expensive.
The base HP version which $399 will be equipped with 8.9 inches screen and operating system Windows XP home. The more expensive version HP mini 1000 with 10.2 screen and Windows XP Home will cost $449. The first version will appear today. In all cases the screen resolution is equal to 1024 X 600.
HP mini 1000 will be completed by only three-cell battery. The more capacious six-cell battery will appear only during January in the following year.
The memory volume can change from 512 MB to 1 GB for the windows XP version , while the Linux system will be proposed with up to 2 GB memory. The central processor as it was expected, will be the single core Intel atom n270 (1.6 GHz).
Users can select either the solid-state disc with volume from 8 to 16 GB or HDD with 60 GB ( 4200 rp/min ). This notebook include a memory card reader , Web- camera with the 0.3 MP, adapter wi-Fi 802.11g and optional adapter blue-tooth. During December HP mini 1000 will get a adapter wireless (access to 3G networks) . The notebook mass will vary from 1,01 to 1,08 kg, depending on the display size . The case thickness will not exceed 25 mm.
During January will appear the cheapest HP mini 1000 with 8.9 screen, three-cell battery and Linux operating system . The Cost of similar notebook will be $379.
