Yesterday associate reported that in the beginning of 2009 Acer company intends to release the economical inexpensive nettop , which will use not only Intel atom , but also AMD and VIA processors. Naturally, chipset in this case will be different, but the selection between processors will be possible within one model . Acer does not desire to depend on the deliveries volumes of atom processors .
VIA company intends to assemble producers and developers in order to begin the production of notebook on base of VIA processors , intended for those countries (Brazil, Russia, India, China). According to analysts estimations , the markets for these countries within the next few years will increase. Up to 2013 China will purchase 549 mln. computers, whereas American market the largest at the given moment will be limited to 277 mln computers. India up to 2013 will also get up to 170 mln computers, in Brazil - about 100 mln. computers.
Naturally, the large part of those computers in the indicated countries will compose the budget solutions, including notebooks.
According to VIA representatives estimations , up to 2010 the annual volume of market for similar devices will reach 30 mln. pieces.
AMD company , which thus proposes for creating budget valuable notebook its one- and dual core processors with K8 architecture , this week will report the first details about its : present answer to Atom.
