We reported yesterday about AMD representatives which talked about a new processor, capable of competing with Intel atom . Today appeared the detailed commentaries of AMD colleagues on this question.
As it is explained, Randy Allen (Randy allen) : "From all possibilities, which we could use, we excluded processors for smartphone ". AMD will release processors for different devices, from mini- notebooks to the server solutions, but it will not exceed this limits . In the opinion of AMD representatives , intermediate class device between the cell phone and notebok does not have a special market prospects. At least, the company will not waste its forces in the MID ( mobile Internet- devices ). Let us note that in MID segment is interested not only Intel company , which intends to present in the middle of 2009 lincroft generation processors with the integrated graphic core and the hardware function for video acceleration . NVIDIA Company moves its integrated processor tegra, which can be used in the same segment. | ||
