Official sales of core i7 processor will begin today . All three processors core i7 stepping C0 in SPEC finder data base has the markings SLBCJ (Core of i7-965 extreme edition, 3.2 GHz), SLBCK (Core i7-940, 2.93 GHz) and SLBCH (Core i7-920, 2.66 GHz). All processors use the LGA 1366 socket, TDP value does not exceed 130 W, but the cache volume in the third level is equal to 8 mb. The cache in the third level is general for all four core, and it works at equal frequency with them. Intel simultaneously explains about the nuances of turbo boost technology. Thus, if two core are active only from the four core, frequency grows only to by one multiplier level :- by 133 MHz.
