Qimonda company in its time became the official AMD partner in the equipment of video cards series radeon HD 4870 with GDDR- 5 memories. The utilized in these video card memory operates at 3600 MHz frequency QDR, theoretically this memory is capable to work at the frequency 4000 MHz QDR, and Qimonda already released GDDR- 5 microcircuits with 5000 MHz QDR frequency . The same producer promised to release GDDR- 5, which works at the frequency 6000 MHz QDR. Hynix company does not desire to be inferior to its competitor. AND stated about the production of one gigabyte GDDR5 memory microcircuits , capable of working at the frequency 7000 MHz QDR. They are produced on 54 nm technology, and they work with 1.35 v . GDDR- 5 memory microcircuit were released by hynix company on 66 nm technology, they worked at 4.5 GHz QDR frequencies with 1.5 v.
