Many experts counts , that the utilized by notebook chipset on base of Intel atom processors do not possess a sufficiently low energy consumption level in order to ensure a long battery life. The processors atom series n2xx possess a sufficient efficiency, but they have a more economical fellows series Z, which is adapted in the composition of MID- platform menlow with the integrated chipset US15W (Poulsbo), developed by imagination technologies company  . As reports associate, notebook producers began to use components from menlow platform in their products. For example, Dell created the notebook Inspiron mini 12 with the large 12 inches screen and  20 mm case .  MSI company is going on January exhibition CES 2009 to show the notebook wind u110 and U115, based on the combination of Intel atom z530 processor and integrated chipset US15W. This chipset has a lower energy consumption level in comparison with Intel 945GC (4.3 W against 11.4 W), but it does not propose serial ATA supports and high resolutions for external monitor. Furthermore,  this chipset does not support the operating system Linux. However, this given chipset support video decoding acceleration (h.264 standard). The notebooks MSI wind u110 and U115 can be equipped with DDR 2-533 memory (volume up to 2 GB). Both have Web- camera with 1.3 or 2.0 Mp, wireless network adapter (standard 802.11 b/g/n ) and Bluetooth, and also 10 inches screen with the light-emitting diode and 1024 X 600 resolution. The model u115 proposes the hybrid data storage  : rapid and economical SSD with 8/16/32 GB volume, and also classical HDD with 80/120/160 GB volume. The model u110 is satisfied only by usual HDD with volume from 120 to 250 GB. Six battery section ensures a battery life from 8 to 10 hours. The dimensions of notebook are equal to 260 X 180 mm, thickness varies from 19 to 31,5 mm. the mass this notebook series does not exceed 1,1 kg. The cost of such notebook is sufficiently high: MSI wind u115 will be proposed for $685-745, the price of MSI wind u110 will be about $567. The corresponding dell product cost $600.
