Taiwanese company VIA Technologies continues to operate the theme of platforms for panoramic digital cameras. Earlier this year, it introduced a number of commercial devices that exploit VIA development . But these were single items in the form of external cameras for smartphones and PCs with a USB connection. Today the company has presented a whole complex platform for the development of a circular vision system for cars with a mass of useful functions.
The VIA Mobile360 Surround View kit allows to create a surveillance system around passenger and freight transport with data recording locally with the transfer of video streams to clouds in 4G networks. There is also a GPS tracking of the moving car, which allows the dispatchers of transport companies to track the schedule of moving vehicles and simultaneously observe the situation around the transport and the condition of the cargo.
The development kit includes a FOV-190 camera with increased reliability, a 7-inch 720P P-Cap display with a touchscreen and VESA mount (also "automotive" reliability class), a 4G modem and a GPS receiver. Additionally, a pair of FOV-190 or FOV-50 cameras can be added to the kit if it is a question of monitoring long-distance transport. All this is also supported by the cloud-based service VIA Mobile360 E-Track for traffic control.
The cost of the VIA Mobile360 Surround View kit is not disclosed in the company's press release. Deliveries have already begun. Related Products :
