NordicHardware was able to test the interesting cooler danamics LM10.
This unique solution cost 280 Euro and it must ensure a high effectiveness with a complete noiselessness.
In this case NordicHardware used the cooler Thermalright ultra 120-Extreme, which costs approximately five times cheaper as competitor. Blowout was achieved by three fans, Coolink sWiF-1201 (low noise level ), Antec tri-Cool (average noise level ) and Delta FFB1212EHE (high noise level ).
The test system appeared as follows:
- Processor: Intel Pentium dual-Core e5200 (at default frequency and @ 3,84 GHz)
- Graphic accelerator: AMD radeon HD 4850
- Memory : OCZ PC8500 SLI edition DDR2
- Disk system: Western digital raptor 36GB x 2, RAID0
- Power unit: Enermax galaxy DXX 1 kW
- Case : CoolerMaster mystique 631S
As software , the chess program arena 1.99b3 and the stress test prime 2004 Orthos were used.
Here are the observed results :
In the passive regime danamics LM10 is capable to noticeably go around Thermalright ultra 120-Extreme with the use of powerBooster profile, but with fans there is practically no advantage , and the traditional solution looks rather better.
LM10 is not better than other air coolers , but here the price deference is very large , The comparison of LM10 with any water cooling system do not make sense for us . For more details check NordicHardware review Related Products :
