QNX software systems and Kontron companies created a platform for Intel atom processors without Bios and with the instantaneous start up function . Here we deal with The technology rapid load QNX . The use of this technology excludes the need for Bios use on x86 platforms .
As base for this platform served the modular computer nanoETXexpress-SP computer-on-Module from Kontron company . It has the dimensions 55 x 84 mm, it is compatible with PICMG COM express standard. The module is intended for mobile applications with low energy consumption levels , where it is necessary to combine the high processor performance, high-quality graphic, support of standards PCI express and Serial ATA, and long battery life, This computer is based on Intel atom 5xx. Using the technology rapid load QNX and Kontron nanoETXexpress-SP module, systems developers can reach the realization of instant-on function , preserving in this case the compatibility advantages with x86 family and having a high specific performance . Besides this , developers can increase the battery life period and make the system more convenient. Instead of using the slow functions of disk in standby modes (suspend-to-disk) or passage in the energy-economy state (standby), this device can be completely turned off and when necessary the user can turn it on without time delay. | ||
