This week AMD and NVIDIA harmoniously declared about OpenCL 1.0 support  . NVIDIA company explained, that CUDA platform  will possess compatibility with OpenCL; therefore, developers can optimize their products both for NVIDIA hardware and AMD solutions  . In the physical effects acceleration sphere NVIDIA already count on physX platform  , which was made by AGEIA and adapted under CUDA. In this sphere AMD supported Intel company which purchased Havok. According to AMD representatives commentaries :. First , AMD is categorically assured that PhysX will not remain as popular platform for long , and as change will arrive the OpenCL and DirectX 11. Obviously, AMD do not count on NVIDIA which is assembled to integrate the support of these standards in the future CUDA versions. If this platform exists now in the version 2.0, then the to the end of the following year it will grow to the version 3.0.   AMD confirmed that it will work with Havok in the physics acceleration sphere .  In the opinion of AMD representatives, physical technologies must be deeply integrated in games.
