AMD company connects its basic hopes to increase its processor speed after transfer to Socket AM3 with DDR 3-1333 memory  instead of present DDR 2-1066; According to some data, socket AM3  processors will get a higher north bridge frequency, which will determine their advantage above socket AM2+ processors  .
