Yesterday we reported that AMD company already has the available models of its first 40 NM video chip - RV740. According to some data, the announcement of video card can take place in spring next year, and RV740 will outdistance the productive 40 NM video chip, which will appear later.
Associate reported today that the engineering video card models on base of RV740 chip were equipped with GDDR5 memory , capable of working at the frequency 3600-4000 MHz QDR. This video card are equipped with Qimonda memory : IDGV1G-05A1F1C-40X. Possibly, AMD simply experiences RV740 video chip under the conditions, when the memory capacity is not the limiting factor. Existing RV740 have the core revision A11, it can be updated up to the announcement moment . | ||
