In the middle of August, when get for the first time the photographs of processor Athlon 64 X2 5200+ we thought that this processor will have TDP not more than 65 W, working at the frequency of 2.6 GHz, and preserving  0.09 m  technical process. However, marking  ADA5200IAA6CS did not entirely correspond to ideas about the characteristics of this processor, and only later AMD published characteristic of Athlon 64 X2 5200+ from which we learned, that the processor has TDP=89 W, but marking takes form ADO5200IAA6CS. Note that yesterday appeared the AMD roadmap , according to which during December AMD will release version with the level TDP lowered to 65 W for several processors Athlon 64 x2 , including model with rating 5000+. By the way, they can be completely  based in 0.065 m core Brisbane. In any case, Athlon 64 X2 5200+  will not  passe for the moment to  0.065 m technical process because to its large volume of  cache , and AMD will search for possibility to  reduce the level TDP of this model to 65 W within the 0.09 m technical process. For the present possible there was appearance in the Japanese stores OEM  version of processor Athlon 64 X2 5200+, which has marking ADA5200IAA6CS. Processors Athlon 64 X2 5000+ and Athlon 64 X2 5200+ at present in Japan use core Windsor, the first has (2 X  512 KB) and the second get - 2 X  1 mb.. . Frequency of both processors is equal to 2.6 GHz. Prices for Athlon 64 X2 5200+ in Japan begin from $420, which almost  $100  more expensive than Athlon 64 X2 5000+. We more than once said that the additional 100$ for the additional cache is overpaid since amd 64 is more depondant from frequency then in cache . Related Products :
