Both models are positioned as enterprises class devices , which are not only high performance solutions, but under the conditions of economic crisis, they became a good selection for long-term use.
New disks support the technology powerTrim second generation, which, as producer speaks, is called to optimize the energy consumption by approximately up to 20% more effective than powerTrim previous generation.
Like the series 15.6 FDE, cheetah 15K.7 and Cheetah NS.2 disks support the self coding technology , ensuring in this case data protection .
The series cheetah of 15K.7 is represented by 3,5 " models with 300, 450 and 600 GB capacity. Those disks are equipped with 6 Gbit/s interface SAS-2.0 and 4- Gbit/s FC, and their cache volume is equal to 16 MB. The rotation speed is 15000 rpm/Min, the access time is 3,4 ms, the MTBF parameter is equal to 1,6 ml hours.
The specification Of cheetah NS.2 almost repeats the devices cheetah 15K.7 with exception of the rotation frequency 10 000 RP/Min and the access time 0.2 ms is worse.
The disks cheetah NS.2 are accessible already today, and Cheetah 15K.7 are available only through OEM- channels, the usual deliveries will begin in the following block.
