Investing $7 billion in the improvement of American factories equipment  , Intel company is intended to concentrate efforts for the fastest passage to the production of 32- nm processors. Today Intel officially demonstrated the work of westmere chip on base of nehalem architecture, made on 32- nm technical process. Intel clearly demonstrated the work of calpella platform, created on base of the dual core processor clarkdale for notebooks. Clarkdale has an integrated graphic core and memory controller . Soon, we expect the detailed tests for this new core. Intel management is not intended to change the deliveries periods for this new platform, and most likely it will enter in the mass production in 2009 (Q4) . Processors, prepared on 32- nm technical process, showed an outstanding productivity and low energy consumption. New multicrystal technology will allow  to integrate the graphic core directly in the processor, to divide system architecture and to simplify motherboards . The unexpected Intel decision to accelerate the passage on 32 nm technology under the crisis conditions has a high influence on the company business . The first photograph allows to see the two-chip layout of the dual core Intel processors with the integrated graphic core. Larger crystal contains the built-in memory controller and the graphic core, it is released on 45 nm technology. The pair of processors core are placed on the smaller crystal, produced on 32 nm technology. According to Intel representatives , the multi-chip layout will not lower the speed level in comparison with the hypothetical monolithic crystal, since the memory controller and the graphic core are located on one crystal. As reports associate with the reference to the statements of AMD representatives , this company will release its first 32 nm processors in 2011. Versions with the integrated graphic core will have a monolithic crystal. The passage on 32 nm technical process allows  Intel to decrease the sizes of elements by 70%, and the switching rate of transistors grew by 22%. However, this entire increase will be directed to the reduction in the energy consumption, additional energy-saving technologies simultaneously will appear. In these case 32 nm processors will consume less electric power than their 45 nm predecessors: core 2 Duo. At least, this will be true for the mobile segment. Intel also demonstrated the working model 32 nm processor, which functions in motherboard with support to dual-channel memory. Clarkdale processors will be compatible with LGA 1156 motherboards   . . The mobile 45 nm processors clarksfield with four core did not disappear from the road map- they will appear in the third quarter 2009, but they will be prescribed only in the most productive notebooks. The frequency potential of 32 nm processors will not change in comparison with 45 nm predecessors. In other words, these dual core processors can work at frequencies up to 3.33 GHz . Intel is assembled to spend on the preparation for passage on 32 nm the technical process approximately $8 billion , first 32 nm processors will appear in the fourth quarter 2009, in the first quarter 2010 they will appear in the desktop and mobile market segments  . Server 32 nm processors will appear later in 2010. Processors with the high integration degree ( atom  type) will be developed also on 32 nm technical process in order to reduce the energy consumption. Related Products :
