Associate reported today that the video card Radeon HD 4890 on base of RV790 chip will appear during April in the present year.
As our associates explained, Video cards on base of RV790 chip will exist in two versions, which are supposedly distinguished by their default frequencies. If the base version Radeon HD 4890 will be up to 20% faster than Radeon HD 4870, then the elder version will by almost 25-30% faster. In other words, between the Radeon HD 4890 versions will be a speed difference, equal to 5-10%. The elder version Radeon HD 4890 will be also equipped with 1 GB GDDR5 memory , its recommended retail cost will reach $299. If the base version Radeon HD 4890 will appear in the middle of April for $199-249, then its elder version will appear to the end of April. | ||
