Intel company began to transfer of 45 nm processors penryn generation with the small cache volume in the second level to R0 stepping. This stepping brings additional monitoring functions , two new instructions XSAVE/XRSTOR and safer in the ecological packing sense .
Recently, Intel company reported about the transfer of Pentium e5200 (2.5 GHz) processor from M0 to R0 stepping. All changes listed above will require a bios update for the correct processors operation. Processor marking after transfer to new the stepping will change from SLAY7 to SLB9T.
The first copies R0 Pentium e5200 (2.5 GHz) processors will appear on 13 April, deliveries will begin on 27 May, 2009. Related Products :
