Intel company recently stated that it is going to collaborate with TSMC in the processors production field (atom and their chipset). Intel reported that TSMC will release a certain one chip solution with the high integration degree.
Yesterday associate reported that the production of first processors atom at TSMC will start not earlier than the fourth quarter present year. The appearance of single-crystal solutions class atom will allow Intel to enlarge the application sphere of these processors to devices with the low energy consumption. Series products on their base, will appear only in 2010. Another important TSMC partner, ARM holdings company, also attempts to strengthen their positions in the notebook and smart phone segment.
