As reports associate , the processor phenom II X4 955 (3.2 GHz) Socket AM3 will appear on 20 April, 2009. It will preserve four cores, 4 X 512 KB cache in the second level and 6 mb cache in the third level, TDP value will not exceed 125 W, but the design concept socket AM3 will ensure support to DDR- 3 memory and increase the hyperTransport frequency from 3600 MHz to 4000 MHz.
The price this processor will for sure insignificantly exceeds the $200. Let us recall that socket AM3 processors can work in motherboards with Socket AM2 or AM2+. | ||
