Atom processors series z5xx, which possess the lowered energy consumption, enjoy popularity not only in the MID devices , but also in notebooks.
Associate reports that during April Intel will present new processor in this family - Atom z550. It will operate at 2.0 GHz frequency, it will be equipped with 512 KB cache in the second level and support 533 MHz bus . It is remarkable, that the energy consumption level of this processor will not exceed 2.4 W as in the slower atom z540 (1.86 GHz). The model atom z550 will preserve compatibility with Intel US15W chipset.
During April Intel will release the processor Atom z515, which will can be switched between the frequencies 800 MHz and 1.2 GHz within the technology Intel burst performance technology. This processor will be equipped with 512 KB cache in the second level and support 400 MHz bus. In the lower energy state, it will be satisfied by TDP value not more than 0.65 W, and at the frequency of 1.2 GHz - not more than 1.4 W. Atom z520 (1.33 GHz) processor has a much higher TDP - not more than 2.3 W.
The processor atom z515 will be combined with that reduced chipset Intel UL11L, which will support only 400 MHz bus, and the graphic core frequency will be 100 MHz lower. Related Products :
