As we already reported AMD is not assembled to give chipset producers the license to release chipset for server processors new generation.
Associate yesterday reported the explanations of this news. AMD Representatives do not intend to exclusively release server chipset. According to them, this is a purely business decision. From other sides, AMD representatives rejected to comment the situation with the assignment of license to NVIDIA and Broadcom for the production of chipset future platforms . For those reasons in 2010 NVIDIA and Broadcom will not present chipset for new generation opteron processors . Both companies will be limited to the support of existing platforms. | ||
