Intel representatives confirmed on Tuesday that the company intends to present in the second half-year the platform pine trail, which uses the processors pineview with the integrated graphic core and memory controller  . According to associate, the announcement of pineview processors is planned for the fourth quarter this year. We can only assert that the desktop version pineview with two cores will be presented in the fourth quarter this year, and the single core version will appear in the first quarter following year. For the first time in the notebook segment , processor will obtain the integrated graphic core and memory controller with support to DDR-2. The layout of system elements can be examined based on the example of moorestown . System passes from the three chip layout to two-chip,  chipset will do the basic functions of south bridges. The platform pine trail will ensure support to  serial ATA and PCI express interfaces. The energy consumption level of this platform allows the use of passive cooling system. Pineview processors will be compatible with NVIDIA chipset, which will allow the latter to use them within ION platforms new generation. Intel simultaneously presented the beta- version of operating system Moblin v2.0, which relates to the Linux class systems. It is optimized under platforms on base of atom processors, and therefore it can engage up to 20-25% of market in the notebook and nettop segment .
