CUDA support by strange platforms was interpreted as straight hint to the possibility of accelerating calculations by AMD video chip.
NVIDIA representatives explained, that their scientific leader spoke about the wide spectrum of program or hardware platforms, then they transferred a question in certain hypothetical planes. AMD representatives stated that NVIDIA could intentionally worsen the productivity of applications under CUDA with AMD video card . Even if there was no sabotage, NVIDIA could not optimize CUDA under the special features of AMD video card . Without design dialog between AMD and NVIDIA, it is impossible to realize CUDA support on radeon video cards. Finally, NVIDIA representatives noted that they do not plan to support streams by their video chip. Both companies support OpenCL and DirectX compute. | ||
