In the desktop 45- nm processors AMD company count solutions with three code names: Deneb, Propus and Regor. Deneb is characterized by the presence of four cores, two 64- bit memory controllers DDR2/DDR3 and by the cache volume in the third level 6 MB.
In order to propose interesting solution in the category up to $100 , AMD companies release processor with sufficiently high productivity and small TDP. In this case, we deal with Propus processor : four core processor, which was deprived from L3 cache . This reduces not only the TDP level, but also CPU prime cost .
In further plans AMD will release the 3- core processor athlon II X3 Rana, which will be deprived from one core. Regor will have a total of two cores, and they will be deprived from cache in the third level. L2 cache in this case will be 2 MB., 1 MB.per core.
According to motherboard producers data , AMD propus originally will be presented by four models, including two energy-effective processors: Athlon II X4 600e, 605e, 620 and 630. The HT frequency of these CPU will be 2,2-2,8 GHz. The models 600e (2,20 GHz) and 605e (2,40 GHz) have the TDP level equal to 45 W.
