If Intel company in the second quarter this year encountered losses for the first time for long time, then  AMD company already for long time attempt to leave the unprofitability period.   In the second quarter AMD company was able to reduce the size of losses from $416 mln. to $330 mln., if we compare with the first quarter this year. In the second quarter last year, the losses were equal to $1,195 billion, from this point we can speak about a certain progress. Gain after transfer from the first quarter to the second changed insignificantly, after composing $1,184 billion, and here the rate profit was reduced from 43% to 37%. In comparison with the second quarter 2008 the gain was reduced by 13%. Analysts forecast for AMD gain in the first quarter in the size of $1,13 billion.
