Yesterday the announcement of four core processors AMD socket AM3 took place: The four core phenom II X4 945 (3.0 GHz) with TDP level not more than 95 W, dual core Athlon II X2 240 (2.8 GHz) and Athlon II X2 245 (2.9 GHz), or single core sempron 140 (2.7 GHz) with 1 mb cache in the second level.
We start from the new regor processor : the processors athlon II X2 240 (2.8 GHz) and Athlon II X2 245 (2.9 GHz) with 1 mb cache in the second level for each of two core. TDP Value is equal to 65 W, the hyperTransport 3.0 operates at 4.0 GHz frequency, the design concept Of socket AM3 ensures support to DDR-3 memory . The price of athlon II X2 250 (3.0 GHz) processor remained at the level $87, and the processors athlon II X2 245 (2.9 GHz) and Athlon II X2 240 (2.8 GHz) cost $66 and $60 respectively.
The processor sempron 140 (2.7 GHz) Socket AM3 is proposed for $36. Which is interesting, the cache volume in the second level is equal to 512 KB instead of promised 1 mb . Finally, the four core processor phenom II X4 945 (3.0 GHz) now has the energy consumption 95 W against previous 125 W. They cost ($225) : HDX945FBK4DGI (125 W) and HDX945WFK4DGI (95 W).
