AMD company already develops the processor fusion, which unites the functions of central processor, memory controller and graphic core. According to last information, the first fusion processor will be available only on 2012, and their production will be achieved with the application of the newest 22- nm technological process. However, Intel company plans to release analogous solutions (central processor with integrated video) already in the following year. If Intel solution will use two crystals, united in one chip, then AMD fusion will become the completely monolithic solution - on one crystal will be arranged both processor and graphic core. In other words, AMD company, first stated about the development of unique design - This CPU+GPU, is mainly intended for the mobile computers. Let us recall that similar situation occurred with the release by AMD company of the first monolithic four core central processors Barcelona. | ||
